Leroy "Lee" TrevigneMy wife and I moved to Arizona almost eight 8 years ago in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina beat us up pretty badly. We have two kids and three grandkids, all of whom were already here in Arizona and had been trying for some time to get us to move here. We were very lucky in that regard, as we had someplace to go. Dreamland Villa was our first choice and so we have been here in DV for almost 8 years now. Back in New Orleans, I worked for a company which still manufactures commercial laundry equipment. I was with them for 45 years and retired in 2003. Within 4 or 5 months of retirement, I was called back to work for them as a consultant and am doing that still today. I held many positions during that time, 90% of which dealt with the public, both customers and dealers that sell the equipment. I worked in the manufacturing plant, technical service and finally sales. During all of that time I taught service schools, made technical training videos, served as a the service manager and ended up in sales as the national sales manager for OPL (on premises laundries). Through all those years I gained a great deal of experience in organization, dealing with and solving problems. I feel that I can use these skills to help the DV Board deal with the everyday situations that may arise. One thing in particular I would like to help with is to upgrade the curb appeal of our area. When we moved here eight years ago, one of the things that attracted us was how neat and picturesque the neighborhood was and still is. But that has slipped a bit and particularly the weeds and trees on our surrounding streets. I would like to try to help fix that and bring back the charm we once had. If elected, I promise to devote my time and energy to doing these things and whatever else is required. |
