Board Study Session Minutes - November 6, 2012

The Study Session was called to order by President Westall. Board members present were: Wendell Black, Judy Ford, Aggie Forsyth, Steve Holleque, Frances Skaggs, Gordon Watson, Red Westall, Lyle Wood (8 members, quorum present.) Absent: James Cook (ill), Dodie Gruner, Patty Thorpe, and Larry Wilkens. Others present were: Joan Cook, Charles Dubbs and Larry Welch.

Old Business:
The bikes in pool area were discussed. Wendell Black requested it remain on the agenda as he would like to address the issue at the Board meeting.

Charles Dubbs gave brief review relating to the lighting retrofit and pool gates.

A number of items were not taken up, as they had been reviewed during the October study session and Jim Cook was absent due to illness.

Red Westall reported he had not been able to obtain a Board secretary.

Charles suggested that we purchase KNOX BOX for both Farnsworth and Read complexes. Discussion followed. Item will remain on agenda.

Red Westall reported that Donna Zurbay was working on obtaining volunteers for various functions.

He will be reporting those persons who have volunteered for appointment to the Nominating Committee at the Board meeting.

Heating of the Lap Pool was also discussed and was to remain on the agenda for the Board meeting.
