Brian Stanfill - Maintenance Foreman

BRIAN STANFILL  is foreman of the maintenance crew. Brian was born in San Jose,  California, on September 27, 1970, attending grade school and freshman year of high school before moving to Mesa, Arizona. He was graduated from Mountain View High  School here in Mesa. After high school he worked with his father in the family business, a sheet metal shop, learning many of his skills from his father. Soon he moved on to work for a company where he learned the cabinet building trade, becoming a  Master Cabinet Builder.

He came to work for Dreamland Villa in August of 1999, working for Paul Jones, who was foreman at the time. Due to health reasons Paul resigned as foreman in 2002. Emmett Wenzel was the head of the maintaince  committee at that time. Ennnett let the crew know that he was looking to replace Paul as foreman. Brian said he would like to try out for the position and to give him a three-month trial, and if it didn't work out, he would step down. Brian earned the position as foreman.

Brian lives in Apache Junction with Otto and Natalie,   his Staffordshire Bull Terriers, whom are both show dogs. Brian and Natalie have traveled all over the United States,  participating in dog shows in which Natalie has won many ribbons.

When Brian is not keeping things running smoothly at DVCC, he likes to relax by fishing and camping away from it alL Also for a time Brian competed in shooting competitions where he earned a sharp shooter badge. Another hobby of Brian's is working the sound system at Farnsworth Hall for the many functions of Dreamland.

When talking with Brian, he told me that he feels like Dreamland Villa is more like a home with a very large extended family.
