I’m Danny (Dan) Hampton, and I’m a candidate for your Board of Directors. I’ve been serving on the Board as an interim director and treasurer for the past few months and would like to continue serving the community. My wife, Laurel, and I have lived in DVRC for fourteen years.
Our permanent residence is in Albuquerque, NM, and we travel back and forth all during the year. I spent eight years in the USAF during the Vietnam Era. As for education, I graduated from Weber State University, with a major in economics and a minor in accounting and did some work on a Master’s in Public Administration degree. I worked for the U.S. Army for thirty-three years, as an accountant, management analyst, budget officer and CFO. I retired in 2008 but continue to work on short term projects and teach Federal Budget classes occasionally.
We chose DVRC because it was a quiet, clean, well-maintained community without an expensive HOA fee and we’ve grown to enjoy the amenities of the clubhouse.
My goal as a member of the Board will be to maintain and enhance those features that attracted and have kept us in the community. I will do my best to represent you and the DVRC in a prudent, honest and open manner.
